Prosperidad has lots of interesting sights to go to. Prosperidad is the Capital Town of the Province of Agusan del Sur in the Caraga Region 13, Northeastern side of the Island of Mindanao, Philippines.
According to historical accounts, Prosperidad was a settlement of the Manobos which occupies a vast land and thick forest of the lower portion of Gibong River before the Spanish Colonial era. This community was built under the leadership of a Datu through a form of government which they adapted from their Malayan ancestry. In 1875 when the Spaniards came, Prosperidad was Christianized and establishes by the companions of Fr. Urios with its old name Las navas which seems to be the older settlement along the Gibong River.
